I recently stayed at a fantastic hostel in Melbourne for 8 nights. Habitat HQ was just a stone's throw away from tram access, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The staff members were friendly and always ready to assist. The cleanliness of the bathrooms and common areas was impressive, and the comfortable mattresses in the spacious common room ensured a good night's sleep. The 6-bed female room I booked had its own clean bathroom, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The breakfast provided was satisfying with a variety of options, and the availability of coffee and tea throughout the day was a nice touch. The small but cozy common area and the outdoor space allowed for both relaxation and socializing. my experience at Habitat HQ was excellent, and I would definitely stay here again.
I can confidently recommend this hotel.

Good base for getting into Melbourne. Friendly helpful young ladies on reception desk.
I had a private room with enjoy quite shower room. The clothes hanging space was filled with a chair holding a try with kettle and tea and coffee sachets. Naturally I had to move this out to hang my clothes up. I did request a small table if they had one but none was forthcoming. I think a small table is essential for safety for using the kettle as it was not very secure on a slopeing chair and leaves hostel open to legal proceedings for injury.

Convenient Location and Comfortable Room
The bedroom here was really nice and comfortable. It's super close to cool places like St Kilda Beach, which is awesome for hanging out. Plus, it's just a 30-minute drive to the airport, so getting here and leaving is a breeze! 🏖️

I like the place ...coz it is easy to go to the city...by tram.. I like the events that Habitat HQ gave to the customers every day is different event..how lovely but..please ..let me know... did you see my glasses ..? coz I remembered that I'd forgotten to take my glasses..when check out And when I remembered that...my position had been in Canberra..again but..it's never mind..if my glasses was not in your hotel maybe..I did my mistakes at any place... I'm sorry to ask about that... really..I'd just..made sure .. no problemo Now..I'm n my daughter are in Indonesia again... we just arrived last night
Just... about the towel.. that the hotel only prepared the new towel after 4 nights..staying for me... bcause I always..use e new and clean towel...every day is changing so that's why..every morning..I go to laundry to wash all towels..that we used but..never mind... no worries about that

The hotel was close to many restaurants and bars, which provided plenty of options for entertainment. The room was spacious and well-designed, with a comfortable bed. The hotel offered a free breakfast, which was a nice bonus.
Our romantic escape was ruined by the noise level in the hotel. We could hear people talking and laughing loudly in the hallway late at night, which made it difficult to sleep.

This hotel is a great value for the money. With prices that won't break the bank, it offers basic amenities and comfortable rooms with big mattresses and under bed lockers. The staff are friendly and helpful, making sure that every guest feels welcome. The location of this hotel is ideal, as it is right by a tram stop and very close to St Kilda beach. This makes it easy to explore the beautiful neighborhood of St Kilda and have easy access to public transportation.
All in all, everything was more than ok.

we came from Tas a little exhausted to spend the 2 last days of our 6 weeks vacations and expected to rest and enjoy the buoyant city, we've found a haven as room and highly effective-smiley staff helping in all our needs. we're now back in our Provence and already planning next down under summer visit, staying much longer and on at least 2 periods within our trip thanks to all we've been encountering, especially the fellow from the reception who went to our room to catch and release outside the huge hairy spider in the window curtain! gina & claude
the only little thing has been the last night door slamming from our neibourgh, insignificant may it seems...says a lot for us... may travelers be chatted about it at check-in ?

Private room with ensuite was really nice and despite being on main road and in backpacker hostel was very quiet. Really easy to get to with tram stop right outside. Free wifi and luggage storage for a day came in handy too!
Kitchen/dining area quite busy/crowded.

Very chilled out and friendly. We complained about the bed - it was very uncomfortable. And the complaint was dealt with very well. Will be very happy to stay again.
